Hello, I am Fırat. Software has been my passion since childhood, and I have been building it professionally since 2021.

After graduating in Management Information Systems from Atatürk University, I joined Quorion GmbH, a German company, where I built real-time KPI dashboards and a template tool for retail software.

At Delta-A Software Center I worked on warehouse management, order processing and point-of-sale software for the European retail market, used by grocery chains. I built a native Android POS with NFC payments, REST APIs, an offline-first order system and warehouse automation as part of an Agile Scrum team.

Since September 2025 I have been working independently. My main project is a cross-platform language-learning app that I am building end to end: the React Native app, the Node.js API, real-time chat, voice and video calls, and the AWS infrastructure behind it.

Experience

  1. Freelance Full-Stack Developer

    Cross-platform language-learning application for iOS and Android, built end to end.

    • Built the mobile app with React Native (New Architecture) and TypeScript, including an i18next-based multilingual interface, a custom scanner script that keeps translation keys in sync across locales, and automated development and production builds for Android (APK/AAB) and iOS.
    • Implemented real-time chat with Socket.IO and in-app voice and video calling with LiveKit (WebRTC), integrating iOS CallKit, Android ConnectionService and VoIP push so incoming calls ring even when the app is closed.
    • Integrated in-app subscriptions through RevenueCat and ads with Google AdMob; shipped push notifications with Firebase Cloud Messaging and Notifee, plus Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage and stability monitoring.
    • Tuned the interface for a 60 FPS target with Reanimated 4 worklets, gesture-driven bottom sheets and virtualized lists (FlashList, Legend List) for long chat and lesson feeds; used Zustand and Context API for state and HTML5 Canvas for interactive exercises.
    • Architected the Node.js and TypeScript REST API on Express and PostgreSQL with hand-written SQL and a custom CLI for migrations, rollbacks and seeding; scaled real-time traffic horizontally with the Socket.IO Redis adapter and emitter, and moved heavy background work to BullMQ queues and node-cron jobs.
    • Implemented AWS S3 media handling with multipart uploads and presigned URLs so large files go straight to storage; set up transactional email with AWS SES and Resend, and hardened the API with JWT, bcrypt, Joi, Helmet, distributed rate limiting, profanity filtering, Prometheus metrics and Pino structured logging.

    • Developed an Android point-of-sale app with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and MVVM, integrating NFC for contactless payments and reducing checkout friction at the counter.
    • Designed REST APIs for e-commerce order processing and warehouse operations and optimized backend data flow, cutting API response times by 30% and reducing operational data discrepancies.
    • Built an offline-first retail order management system (React.js, PHP, MySQL) that stores orders locally in IndexedDB and syncs automatically when the connection returns, so staff keep working through outages without losing data.
    • Engineered an automated warehouse inventory tracking system that raised stock accuracy by 25%, and wrote automation scripts that cut manual reporting work by 40%.
