Overview
Checkout is where a queue forms. The cashier app has to be fast to operate, reliable on store hardware and able to take contactless payments without extra steps.
What I built
- MVVM architecture to keep payment and cart logic testable and separate from the UI.
- A declarative Jetpack Compose interface designed for quick, repeated counter use.
- NFC integration for contactless payments, connected to the order and warehouse APIs behind it.
Results
- Less friction at checkout: contactless payment happens inside the POS flow.
